Louie's Chop House (700 West Jefferson St, Shorewood, IL) - review by david and cathy (Feb 19, 2011)

- Louie's is a staple of ours. We've never had a bad meal there from appetizers to prime rib. We think they have the best bruschetta in town. The only drawback is that if your looking for something lighter, they don't have any sandwiches or wraps on the menu. However, they do have entree size salads with chicken strips as an option. Something not well advertised is their $25 birthday special. If you go there on your birthday, any entree under $25 (which is almost all of them) is free! No coupon, no time restrictions, just a driver's license to prove it's your birthday.

Metro Grill & Bar (2019 Essington Rd, Joliet, IL) - review by david and cathy (Feb 19, 2011)

- When we want something more than a salad but less than a steak, we head to The Metro Grill & Bar. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads, and soup. The Chipotle Steak wrap is my favorite. Its a meal in a tortilla with a nice kick to it. There is also a selection of larger entrees. Cathy's favorite is the broasted chicken.
